Deranged diners angry about the cost of their meals tossed a salt shaker in a Visitacion Valley eatery, injuring a restaurant worker on Saturday, police said.
The salt shaker shattered when it hit a counter, sending glass flying at the restaurant in the unit block of Leland Avenue, police said. A restaurant worker suffered a small cut from the flying glass, according to the report.
The suspects did not complain about the cost of their meals until after ordering them just before 6 p.m.
“When the food was ready, the suspects became angry and said that the food was too expensive,” police said.
The suspects fled and were not found, police said.
