These ruthless teenage robbers had the numbers but lacked the support.

Four young thugs took off their pants belts in the Bayview last week and threatened to beat a man with them unless he handed over his money, police reported Monday.

The lowdown robbery reportedly occurred at about 10:20 p.m. Wednesday in the 1400 block of Van Dyke Avenue, near Keith Street.

The sagging suspects, described only as males between ages 16 and 18, approached a 55-year-old man as he was walking on the sidewalk.

“The four suspects exited their vehicle and began to take their belts off of their pants,” police said. “They held their belts over their heads threatening the victim and demanding property.”

The man handed the teens an undisclosed amount of cash. The suspects fled and the victim was not injured.

No arrests had been reported as of Monday, police said.
