Rest easy, proletariat: ‘Queen of Versailles’ home finally has a finish date

The world’s largest McMansion has risen like a marbled phoenix from the ashes of the recession and will see its construction completed by 2015.

The decadent palace featured in the documentary “Queen of Versailles” is 90,000 square feet, with 11 kitchens, 30 bathrooms and a roller rink (of course). It’s owned by Jackie and David Siegel, whose epic financial meltdown was captured on film in all its glory as their timeshare biz began to tank.

The pair had to put the kibosh on construction after creditors came calling, according to the AV Club, but now thankfully they can afford the home’s $20 million mortgage again. It’s so nice to see the little guy finally get his.
