Holiday celebration: Director Keith Scott welcomed guests at luxury jeweler Cartier’s seasonal gathering last week at its Post Street store. Among the stars of the show were a $2.5 million, 71.13-carat diamond necklace and Santa.

’Tis the season: Members of the San Francisco Opera Guild gathered Thursday at their annual holiday party at the Westin St. Francis Union Square. The elegant event included gourmet refreshments, entertainment, and a silent and live auction offering unique gift ideas.

Vintage fashion meets vintage autos

VIP Opening Party: The 52nd S.F. International Auto Show combined forces with the Academy of Art University on Dec. 1 at the Moscone Convention Center. Some 300 guests donned vintage best for the 1930s-themed party, which also featured gowns designed by students from the School of Fashion and sketches by students from the School of Industrial Design.
