Restoration Hardware Gallery opening: On Wednesday, Gary Friedman, CEO of Restoration Hardware, and Margaret Russell, editor in chief of Architectural Digest magazine, joined top interior designers and civic leaders to celebrate the launch of the Restoration Hardware Gallery in the San Francisco design district. The evening was a benefit for educational programs at the San Francisco Museum of Modern Art.

Fun, fashion, magic with Macy’s


Macy’s Passport Presents Glamorama: On Friday, fashionistas flocked to the Orpheum Theatre for a runway show featuring fall collections from American designers, along with performances by Macy Gray and Eric Hutchinson. The event, which featured an after-party at the Asian Art Museum, was a benefit for the AIDS Emergency Fund, Glide Foundation and Project Open Hand.

Spicy 75 for Tommaso’s


Tommaso’s 75th-anniversary party: The North Beach restaurant celebrated 75 years in business with a “party of parties” Sept. 20. The festivities were hosted by owners Carmen and Agostino Crotti, with their sister Lidia Zucconi and Anna Crotti, Agostino’s wife, who are chefs at the venerable eatery.
