Proposed cruise terminal plans for Pier 27 to be discussed

The Port of San Francisco will host a community meeting tonight to present design alternatives for a proposed cruise terminal at Pier 27.

The Port anticipates the proposed terminal to be a major visitor attraction, and the community workshop is aimed at gauging public support for the plan. The terminal, which is slated to cost around $80 million to build, is expected to be finished in 2014.

The meeting will take place from 6 to 8 p.m. on the second floor of the Ferry Building.
