Polk Street store robbed at gunpoint, police say 

A store was robbed at gunpoint on Polk Street on Wednesday, police said.

A man in his 40s came into the store in the 700 block of Polk Street around 2:20 p.m. brandishing a handgun and demanding the store’s cash, police said.

A 22-year-old female employee working at the store complied with the gunman’s demands. The thief fled on foot and no arrest has been made, police said.
