Police need help identifying woman found dead in Marina district

City investigators are seeking the public’s help in identifying this woman, who was found dead in the parking lot of a Marina District motel in July.

The woman, who was in her 40s, was found in the parking lot of the Presidio Inn at 2361 Lombard St. just after midnight July 19, police said.

Cops said initially her death did not appear to be suspicious. However, the cause of death remains under investigation, said Alan Pringle, chief investigator for the medical examiner’s office.

She is described as white, 5 feet 8 inches tall and 129 pounds, with brown eyes and wavy brown-and-gray hair about 16 inches in length.

She was wearing multiple shirts and a blue sweatshirt, green cargo pants, black Teva sandals and a pink baseball cap that read "ROADSIDE Lumber & Hardware, Inc.”

She wore no jewelry, had no identifying scars or tattoos and carried no personal identification, authorities said.

Anyone with information is asked to contact the medical examiner’s office at (415) 553-1694.
