In case being robbed was not shocking enough, a thief reportedly used a Taser on his victim during a Saturday night heist in the Outer Sunset district.

The man told police he was walking home near Noriega Street and Great Highway when someone approached him about 9:30 p.m. The victim told cops he does not remember what happened next, but police believe he may have knocked his head after being zapped.

“He woke up lying on the ground with pain on his side,” Officer Albie Esparza said Monday.

His iPod and wallet — which contained cash, credit cards and a driver’s license — were missing, police said.

What was not missing, however, was a stun gun that police suspect might have been used during the robbery.

“There was a Taser located nearby, and we booked that as evidence,” Esparza said.

The victim was not able to provide police with a detailed description of the suspect.
