Police have DNA match for McAleer-Bonilla stabbing suspect

There may be some closure in the fatal April 8 stabbing of Charles McAleer-Bonilla, the San Francisco Public Utilities Commission worker, in Noe Valley. San Francisco police said McAleer-Bonilla likely wounded his attacker, who left a blood trail. DNA samples have been matched to Anthony Alvarez, a bank robbery suspect who was shot and killed by Sacramento Sheriff’s deputies after a three-day standoff last month.
