Aerial work on a series of utility towers and transmission lines that run parallel to the San Mateo Bridge will be carried out between Seal Point Park and Coyote Point Park through Friday, PG&E spokesman Jason King said.
Helicopters carrying crews and supplies will be visible to drivers on J Hart Clinton Drive and anyone out along the Bay’s shoreline between 7 a.m. and 5 p.m., according to the San Mateo Police Department.
Work on the South Bay Crossing Electric Reliability Project has been going on since September and is intended to improve utility service for Peninsula customers, King said.
The project is expected to wrap up in December.
Electric service will not be interrupted while the project is underway, King said.
