Petty revenge for thwarted thief

Your money or your phone.

A woman who failed to steal $10 from a 22-year-old man near a Muni bus Monday night got revenge by smashing the victim’s phone, police said.

The victim was waiting for the bus at Third and Innes streets around 6:45 p.m. When he reached for his wallet to grab his bus fare, a 40-year-old Hispanic woman snatched $10 out of it, police said.

The man was able to wrestle his $10 back, but during the melee, the woman grabbed his cell phone out of his pocket and threw it into the street, breaking it, police said.

The man was hurt during the tussle, but refused medical treatment, police said. The woman was arrested, police said.
