San Mateo

Ax to grind: At 4:09 p.m. March 16 at Cypress Avenue and North Humboldt Street, a caller reported a person with an ax and a man bleeding from his head.

Snoopy: At 8:41 p.m. March 16 at an apartment complex west of the 100 block of Tilton Avenue, a person was standing at a window and appeared to be looking into the apartment.

Burlingame

Unfriendly phone call: A man called another man to physically threaten him on the 1300 block of Bernal Avenue before 5:55 p.m. on March 19.

San Bruno

Punched: A man sustained a small laceration to his eye after he was punched in the face on the 400 block of San Bruno Avenue before 11:45 a.m. on March 19.

Daly City

Check bouncer: At 3:58 p.m. March 19, the Bank of America branch at7395 Mission St. reported commercial burglary and grand theft by a woman who wrote herself two checks totaling $9,177.92. The woman had also forged a check to Monarch Limousine Inc.

South City

Welfare check: A welfare check was requested by a mother at 3:41 p.m. March 16 on First Lane for her daughter, whom she dropped off at 2 p.m. at the father’s home. The caller said she smelled marijuana in the house about 1½ hour ago but couldn’t call because she was driving.

Redwood City

Sexual harassment: A female caller reported at 3:58 p.m. March 17 from Alexander Avenue that she saw a man watching her and fondling himself while she was parking on her street. The suspect was driving a gold sport utility vehicle.

Drunk in public?: At 6:46 p.m. March 17 at Main and Stambaugh streets, a subject was staggering while carrying a bottle of wine. The person was described as a male wearing a long-sleeved thermal shirt and jeans.
