These are excerpts from Peninsula police departments’ daily log of activities. Incidents are listed by city.

Foster City

Do you know Spencer? Residents reported suspicious circumstances at 2:47 p.m. Feb. 9 from Lurline Drive; a man was walking up and down the street for approximately 20 minutes.

The subject approached the caller and asked if she knew someone named Spencer. When she said no, he continued to walk up and down the street.

The subject was described as wearing a short-sleeved polo shirt, khaki pants and carrying a small gift bag.

Redwood City

Unsatisfied customer: A customer at a hotel on El Camino Real on Feb. 9 rented a room, found that the Jacuzzi did not work and asked for a room change.

Another room was not available, so he asked for a refund and the clerk refused to give him one at 5:25 p.m.

Mobile goalie: A suspicious person was reported at 7:48 p.m. Feb. 8 at Whipple Avenue and Arguello Street when a man wearing a green jacket and hockey goalie mask was seen riding a bike eastbound from the train tracks.

San Bruno

Wide open: Three laptops and some phones were stolen from a house that had its front door wide open on the 700 block of Shelter Creek Lane before 9:35 p.m. on Feb. 12.

Burlingame

Couple altercation: A man said his girlfriend threatened him and hit him in his home on the first block of Highland Avenue and was refusing to leave at 2:47 p.m. on Feb. 11.

Daly City

Clueless about counterfeits: Oriental Trading at 6277 Mission St. in San Francisco was the victim of a suspect passing fictitious bills.

He was drunk and was not aware the bills were counterfeit. Suspect was transported to First Chance North and will be released upon his sobriety.

The bills were confiscated for destruction.

SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO

Balloon blast: At 7 p.m. Feb. 9 from Holly Avenue and Mission Road, a driver called to report that something hit her windshield at an intersection near a 7-Eleven. A water balloon was thrown from an unknown address.
