Pedestrian struck in Lower Nob Hill was second in the area 

A pedestrian was struck by a vehicle at Bush and Hyde streets in San Francisco's Lower Nob Hill neighborhood -- the second incident involving a pedestrian in the area within 24 hours.

The collision Friday morning was reported around 9:45 a.m. at Bush and Hyde streets, police Officer Gordon Shyy said.

The pedestrian was taken to San Francisco General Hospital, according to Shyy. He did not know the extent of the pedestrian's injuries.

On Thursday at about 5 p.m., a pedestrian was struck near the corner of Bush and

Leavenworth streets, Shyy said Thursday. The pedestrian was taken to San Francisco General Hospital in life-threatening condition, Shyy said.
