Pedestrian hit by truck in SoMa, critically injured 

A man was critically injured when he was hit by a truck in San Francisco’s South of Market neighborhood on Monday night, police and fire officials said.

The accident was reported at about 9:35 p.m. Monday at Sixth and Howard streets.

The pedestrian was stuck underneath the truck after he was hit, fire department spokeswoman Mindy Talmadge said.

The victim, a man believed to be in his 30s or 40s, was taken to San Francisco General Hospital with life-threatening injuries, police said.
