Patrick Marber whipping '50 Shades of Grey' into shape

We’ve got more Scoopage on why Charlie Hunnam might have dropped out of “Fifty Shades of Grey.”

It seems he was worried it was going to be as bad as “Showgirls,” ostensibly ruining his chances to be taken seriously again. Bowing out — good thing he had a “safe word” — has been a big “relief,” an insider told Fox.

Even producers seem worried about the script. Crack screenwriter Patrick Marber (“Notes On a Scandal,” “Closer”) has been hired to buff it up, according to the Hollywood Reporter.
