One injured in fire in Visitacion Valley 

One person was transported to St. Francis Memorial Hospital after a fire in San Francisco’s Visitacion Valley neighborhood Thursday night, a fire dispatcher said.

Firefighters responded to reports of a fire at the two-story wood building near the intersection of Teddy Avenue and Rutland Street at 10:13 p.m., the dispatcher said.

The one-alarm fire, which started in the kitchen, was under control at 10:39 p.m.

Information about the extent of the victim’s injuries and the cause of the fire was not immediately known.
