NVidia tumbles in up-and-down market 

NVidia Corp. (NVDA) fell more than 4.7 percent by the close of the markets Friday, the biggest move seen today among local stocks tracked by the Examiner.

Advanced Micro Devices Inc. (AMD) also fell more than 3.7 percent. San Franisco-based AMB Property Corp. (AMB) made the biggest gain of the day, rising more than 3 percent, and San Francisco-based Salesforce.com (CRM) rose more than 2.6 percent.

The markets gave mixed results today, with the Dow Jones rising more than 0.4 percent and the S&P 500 rose more than 0.7 percent, while the Nasdaq fell more than 0.2 percent.

Local companies in the news included Redwood City-based Electronic Arts Inc. (ERTS), whose CEO made comments suggesting current projections for in-game advertising revenue are "wildly high," and AMD, which opened a new facility in Bangalore.
