No vote tonigt on Boehner bill

House Republicans will not hold a vote on House Speaker John Boehner's bill to raise the debt limit, despite an aggressive effort to win over holdouts.

Throughout the evening, Republican skeptics of the bill were coming in and out of the offices of Boehner and House Whip Kevin McCarthy, R- Calif.

It remains unclear what Boehner does from here, but the Rules Committee is meeting at 11 p.m. tonight. Perhaps changes are underway to get it across the finish line.
