No sign of missing Bay Area fishermen from capsized boat in Mexico

International rescue teams Sunday continued to search for seven people missing from a charter fishing boat that capsized a week ago in ocean waters near Baja, Mexico, a U.S. Coast Guard official said.

A Coast Guard air crew and the Mexican Navy combed 1,019 miles of the Sea of Cortez near Isla San Luis on Saturday, where seven out of 40 passengers who were aboard the Baja Sportfishing boat have not been found.

The boat capsized and sank on July 3, according to the Coast Guard.

None of the missing mariners waslocated during Saturday's search effort, which included a Coast Guard C-130 aircraft, three Mexican Navy surface vessels and shoreline searches conducted by the Mexican Federal Police, the Coast Guard reported.

More than 3,200 square miles of ocean and land have been searched since Monday.
