The 49ers signed second-round pick Carlos Hyde and fourth-round pick Dontae Johnson to four-year contracts on Thursday.
Hyde, a running back out of Ohio State, was picked No. 57 overall after rushing for over 3,000 yards and 37 touchdowns in his college career. Hyde will join a stable of running backs that already includes Frank Gore, Kendall Hunter, LaMichael James and Marcus Lattimore.
Johnson was pick No. 129 overall, the second of two fourth-round choices by the 49ers. Last season at North Carolina State, he registered 82 tackles and a team-high three interceptions.
The 49ers have signed five of their 12 rookies.
