It might not seem like it, but the streets of San Francisco are getting nicer, smoother and generally better looking. Mayor Gavin Newsom proved it when he boasted about the latest street improvements on Valencia Street in the Mission district, with its larger sidewalks, street art, new trees and lighting.
It’s part of the mayor’s overall Better Streets Plan to revitalize major corridors throughout The City. Next on the list? Cesar Chavez.
