Newsmaker: Bus shelters

A “living bus shelter” will soon come to Fifth and Market streets, in which the roof of the shelter will be made up entirely of native plant species. The San Francisco Municipal Transportation Agency will approve the pilot program at its meeting Tuesday. The project will last three months. The shelter will promote next month’s opening of the California Academy of Sciences building in Golden Gate Park.
