Adam Savage, a co-host of Discovery’s Channel’s TV series “MythBusters,” said on Twitter that he lost a rare bag with sentimental value Saturday when his car was burglarized in downtown San Francisco.

“Nothing vital was in my bag. Some computer cables. A hard drive with non critical video on it,” Savage tweeted Monday.

But the lightweight tote bag itself, which was made by the famous artist Tom Sachs, “is hard to replace and has sentimental value to me,” the host wrote.

The rare bag, which Sachs created with Nike for the limited NikeCraft line, is sold out, according to Sachs’ website. A price was not listed, but eBay sellers are fetching $1,500 for a pair of shoes made as part of the line.

The zany tote bag comes equipped with a “silicone coated vectran reinforced bottom,” according to NikeCraft.com

Savage did not respond to a request for more details on the burglary.
