Officials from the San Francisco Municipal Transportation Agency will meet with residents in The City’s southwestern neighborhoods tonight to discuss plans for a new motor coach facility in Islais Creek.
The first phase of the Islais Creek Motor Coach Facility Project, which will take up 8.4 acres in a lot next to Cesar Chavez Street, is expected to be completed by next summer.
The agency will give an update on how the plans are proceeding during the meeting at Muni’s Metro East Maintenance Facility, located at 601 25th St. The meeting is scheduled to last from 6 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.
Along with building a facility to house its transit vehicles, Muni’s Islais Creek project will also include pedestrian upgrades, wetlands restoration projects and public art installations.
