Michelle Shocked’s career has further imploded with each passing day following her anti-gay tirade March 17 at Yoshi’s San Francisco. While she has since asserted that the comments were taken out of context and misunderstood, it hasn’t tempered the anger.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, her publicist split Thursday after two days on the job, her booking agent is AWOL and she was yanked from a Saturday show at McCabe’s in Los Angeles — sparking a Twitter war with the concert director for the venue, Lincoln Myerson, after Shocked announced that she was basically going to show up anyway and speak about “The Effects of Gay-Bashing on the L.A. Mayoral Race.”

No way, said the venue, so Shocked responded on Twitter with, “OK, OCCUPIE!!” In the end she appeared at another event for homeless people instead, according to music writer Chris Willman on Twitter.

Her behavior, to use a diplomatic tabloid phrase, has been “erratic.”
