San Franciscans are invited to honor fallen Patrol Special Officer Jane Warner at a memorial service event in the Castro on Wednesday, June 9 at 3 p.m. at the Metropolitan Community Church, 150 Eureka St., San Francisco.
Warner died May 8.
“Officer Warner was cherished by her family and loved beyond measure,” said Lynn Fitch, Warner’s eldest sister.
Supervisor Bevan Dufty introduced a resolution at a recent Board of Supervisors meeting to name a neighborhood plaza the “Jane Warner Plaza” in her memory.
Officers have been mourning for their fallen comrade, and have established a memorial page for Warner on their professional support group’s website. San Franciscans are invited to read about Warner’s many contributions and awards, and sign a memorial guestbook of condolences.
