Memorial for former police Chief Alex Fagan to be held Friday 

San Francisco police will attend a memorial service on Friday to mourn former police Chief Alex Fagan, who passed away last week.

Fagan, a 31-year veteran who served as the department’s 37th police chief from 2003 to 2004, died on Nov. 8.

The memorial service will be held Friday at 10 a.m. at St. Mary’s Cathedral, according to the Police Department. A private viewing will be Thursday.
