Meet a growing cast of San Francisco mayoral candidates

Though the election is more than seven months away, candidates on an ever-growing list for San Francisco mayor are working feverishly to identify themselves with voters and donors.

And Monday night is a great chance to meet a majority of them in one shot thanks to a forum put on by Chinese for Affirmative Action.

Confirmed guests include Michela Alioto-Pier, David Chiu, Tony Hall, Dennis Herrera, Phil Ting and Wilma Pang, according to Chinese for Affirmative Action spokeswoman Jenny Lam.

Other candidates, such as Leland Yee, could also show up although they haven’t been confirmed at the event, which will be hold at the Chinatown YMCA.

The event goes from 6:30 p.m. to 8 p.m. and includes a “much more interpersonal” forum, where candidates will be talking to individuals rather than from a soapbox, Lam said.
