Backed-up sewers, downed trees, potholes, graffiti — once these were problems you had to call, e-mail or Tweet The City about.
But all those options are soooo 2010. Now you can just Facebook them.
Mayor Ed Lee announced Monday that San Francisco is launching a Facebook app that will allow residents to report basic service problems by Facebook.
The tips by Facebook will be sent to The City’s 311 Customer Service Center, which already receives complaints and comments about neighborhood problems and routes them to appropriate departments.
The city and county of San Francisco already has a Facebook page with more than 250,000 fans. Now those fans can use the popular social networking site to pass on complaints about their neighborhood, according to a release by Mayor Ed Lee’s office.
