The reports on Jennifer Lopez and Marc Anthony’s breakup continue to proliferate. The latest buzz: Marc sought to control his wife’s wardrobe.
Now you would think one major perk of marrying J.Lo would be getting to see her flaunt her famous physical assets, but evidently that wasn’t the case for Marc.
Recently, the crooner found a racy outfit “too sexy and unbecoming for a 40-year-old mother of two,” an Us magazine source said.
The spouses of seven years, and parents of 3-year-old twins, announced their split Friday — after early speculation they wouldn’t last gave way to the image of them as a power couple that wasn’t going anywhere. “He would make her feel terrible about herself if she wanted to wear something sexy,” a second insider said. “He likes her to dress in a demure ‘wife’ style. He hated the fact that she was a sex symbol.”
Yet a third source said, “Marc has always been a very dominating husband. He wants to control everything Jennifer does.”
Well, we couldn’t help but notice that J.Lo’s fashion choices have been way, way more conservative since she married Marc. It’s not like we’re expecting her to don her infamous plunge-neck Versace gown to pick up a few things at the store, but we certainly will be watching her post-separation fashion choices.
Once again, Angelina Jolie is trying to pretend she’s a normal working mom — and while she no doubt loves her six kids, there’s no way she’s going to succeed in relating to the Lunchables set.
“My boys love to eat crickets. It’s their favorite thing,” the Oscar winner said of sons Maddox and Pax as part of a Louis Vuitton campaign (and what working mom hasn’t shot one of those?). “They brought to-go boxes home and I had to actually ban the cricket eating at a certain point because I was afraid they were going to get sick from too many.”
“They’re good,” Angie said. “They’re like a potato chip.”
Stars are so totally not like us!
Can Jessica Simpson catch a break when it comes to her bod? The singer-actress has an hourglass frame many women would be grateful to be blessed with, yet she seems to be the target of media carping nonetheless. Seriously, why is having a normal body-mass index an issue?
After dealing with the absurdity of High-Waisted-Jeans-Gate a couple years ago, the future Mrs. Eric Johnson was recently photographed sporting a curvy tummy and incurred the wrath of the blogosphere claiming she is pregnant.
Her rep called the speculation “full of malarkey,” adding, “She is not pregnant.”
Seriously, could everyone please shut up about Jessica’s weight? She’s happy, she’s healthy, she’s a gorgeous girl and she’s never claimed to be anything she isn’t. Calling her out for having natural curves — rather than being, like, a size negative-3 — does not send a good message!
