Many dog owners are inconsiderate. Most apartments and houses in this city have yards, yet these people take their dog to leave their droppings on other people’s property.
I always tell the dog owners my flowers are not for their dogs to urinate on. These inconsiderate people always get mad at me. Then they come back and we argue again. They think just because they have a dog we should all love dogs.
Dog owners also think parks are toilets for their dogs. Parks were built for enjoyment of children and grown-ups, not dogs. All I see now at parks are dogs doing their business. Most dog owners do not pick up the feces. This makes a health problem for humans. Just ask any doctor.
Recreation and Park made a big mistake by letting dogs share all city parks.

It is certainly tempting to filter out job- and business-killing legislation coming from the Board of Supervisors. But is it wise to add public hearings with the Small Business Commission as another layer of bureaucracy?
Supervisors are supposed to be elected to serve the best interests of The City. While surely many San Franciscans will choke on that notion, perhaps it is the voters who should take stock of who they elect.

Let me get this straight. Mayor Ed Lee said he is “mortified” and “embarrassed” that the lights went off twice at a televised 49ers football game. Should he not be “mortified” and “embarrassed” at the homeless panhandling, the filthy streets, the parks that are in shambles, a transportation system that does not work, a $300 million deficit and all the other municipal messes? Lee wanted the job of mayor and he should be working on these problems 24/7, not attending football games.

President Barack Obama’s proposed tax holiday is not a good idea. Relying on borrowed money has unintended consequences, as can be noted from the mess of our present economy. Money not collected through payrolls will ultimately force the Social Security program to compete with other federal programs for scarce dollars. The government would have to borrow $112 billion to make Social Security whole — or else it must eventually cut the Social Security program.
A better idea would be to reduce some 1,000 overseas military bases.

A media “strategy session” was held recently at the White House between President Barack Obama and MSNBC’S Ed Schultz, Rachel Maddow and Katrina van den Heuvel. All these media progressives are eager to label the tea party and Fox News as racists. They truly believe quotas mean democracy.
Are they undermining the color-blind vision of Martin Luther King in order to advance their agenda? King did not, would not support race preferences.
