Man, woman robbed of belongings near Telegraph Hill

A man and a woman in their 60s were robbed at gunpoint by three crooks in the Telegraph Hill area on Wednesday, police said.

The three suspects, described as men in their 20s, were in a white sedan stopped near the curb at Union and Montgomery streets about 11:30 p.m. when the two victims, a 60-year-old woman and a 62-year-old man, walked by, police said.

As they passed, the suspects reportedly exited the car and demanded the victims’ property at gunpoint, police said.

The victims complied and turned over their bags containing their cash, cellphones, identifications, credit cards, sunglasses and a camera, police said.

The crooks fled the scene and no arrests have been made. The two victims were not injured in the robbery.
