Man twice stabbed in back in San Francisco's Inner Richmond

A 27-year-old man standing next to his car in the Inner Richmond district got a horrible surprise Thursday – two stab wounds in his back, police said.

A thug crept up behind the victim in the 200 block of Fourth Avenue and stabbed him with an unknown object around 4 p.m.

The victim was transported to San Francisco General Hospital with non life threatening injuries, police said.

The suspect, a man in his early 20s, fled on foot and has not been arrested, police said Friday morning.
