A man was shot after parking his car in the Bayview on Sunday, police said.

The 42-year-old victim parked his car in the 100 block of Middle Point Road about 6:30 a.m. when multiple shots were fired, police said.

A family member heard the shots and found the victim lying on the ground. The man was then taken to the hospital for his injuries, which included a gunshot wound to the chest and lower body, police said. The injuries were reportedly not life threatening.

The suspects in this shooting were unknown as of Monday morning but they are believed to have been in a black sedan.
