Arrest made in fatal Mission shooting; victim dies in separate shooting

Police arrested Vincent Jacobo, 56, in connection with a fatal shooting in the Mission district early Monday, while another person was killed in an unrelated triple shooting later in the day.

The victim in the morning incident was identified as Maurice White, a 28-year-old San Francisco resident, according to the Medical Examiner's Office.

Police had responded to multiple calls about a shooting in the area of 21st and Bartlett streets about 4:30 a.m., Officer Gordon Shyy said. Officers found a male victim suffering from at least one gunshot wound and attempted to give him aid, but he died.

The triple shooting was reported Monday night in the 400 block of Rose Street near Buchanan Street in the Lower Haight, police said.

One person suffered life-threatening injuries and died later at a hospital, Shyy said. The other two victimes were less seriously injured, according to Shyy.

No arrests were announced Monday.
