A passenger reportedly fired a stun gun during a battle for a seat on a rush-hour BART train Wednesday morning, the transit agency said.
A fight between passengers broke out just before 8 a.m. Wednesday, according to news reports, as a San Francisco International Airport-bound train approached the Pleasant Hill station.
Witnesses said a younger man swung at an older man while arguing over a seat. The older man then wrapped the younger man in a headlock, police said, and at that point a third passenger pulled out a stun gun and fired it at the younger man.
The younger passenger was placed under citizen’s arrest, and BART police subsequently took him into custody. The incident only caused a minor delay.
