Man seeks treatment for wound suffered in SF shooting

A man went to an Oakland hospital on Sunday for treatment of a bullet wound he suffered the day before in San Francisco, police said.

The 41-year-old told police he had been shot by robbers in the 1000 block of Market Street about 6:30 p.m. Saturday.

He said two suspects approached him from behind, punched him several times, shot him and then took his cell phone, cash, wallet and shoes, police said.

Police say they don’t know why the victim waited until Sunday to receive treatment for his bullet wound. He brought himself to Kaiser Permanente Oakland Medical Center and police were notified.

No one has been arrested in connection with the shooting.
