Man says no to prostitutes, gets robbed

Two hard-up prostitutes couldn’t get a man to buy their services, so they stole his wallet in The City early Monday morning, police said.

The ladies of the night propositioned the 42-year-old victim in the 100 block of Valencia Street around 2:30 a.m., police said. When he turned down the offer, one of the women snatched his wallet and fled, cops said.

The victim gave chase, but the women were picked up by a man in a minivan armed with a handgun, police said.

No arrests have been made. The prostitutes were described only as white females ages 25 and 32. Their armed accomplice was described as a black man in his mid-to-late 20s, police said.
