Man robs Inner Sunset bank

A man robbed a bank on Irving Street in the Inner Sunset district Tuesday morning, police Sgt. Daryl Fong said.

The bandit approached a teller while simulating that he had a gun, police said, then demanded cash. The teller turned over a large amount of money and the bandit fled eastbound on Irving Street on foot, Fong said.

The suspect was described as a black man, aged 40 to 45, about 5-foot-9 and 190 pounds. He was last seen wearing a black hoodie, black scarf, blue jeans and a shirt with what was believed to be an orange Giants logo, Fong said. Witnesses told police the suspect had a muscular build and yellow coloration around his eyes.
