A man robbed a bank near San Francisco's Civic Center on Monday, police Officer Albie Esparza said.
The suspect walked into the bank in the 500 block of Van Ness Avenue about 1:40 p.m. and interrupted a transaction in process by cutting in line and demanding cash from the 30-year-old teller at the window, Esparza said. A second teller came over to assist and the bank turned over an undisclosed amount of cash to the crook.
The suspect fled on foot in an unknown direction, Esparza said. He was described as a man aged 20 to 30 wearing a black bandana, black hooded sweatshirt and pants, with a green backpack and black shoes.
