Man robbed of tablet while trying to buy drugs in the Tenderloin

If there's an app for making bad decisions, this victim had it.

A 30-year-old man attempting to buy drugs in the Tenderloin early Thursday morning was robbed of his tablet and speakers, police said.

The victim approached two men at Leavenworth Street and Golden Gate Avenue about 12:55 a.m. in an attempt to buys drugs, police said. Instead, the two men assaulted the victim and stole his tablet and speakers.

The victim was hospitalized for a laceration to his face, police said, but his injuries were not life threatening.

No arrests have been made and police did not have detailed descriptions of the suspects Thursday afternoon.
