Man hospitalized in drive-by shooting in the Mission 

A man was shot Monday night in the Mission district, cops said.

The victim, who is approximately 19 to 20 years old, was standing on the corner of York and 24th streets around 8:15 p.m., when a green sedan drove by, police said. Someone from the passenger side of the sedan opened fire on the victim. There was no description of the suspects inside the vehicle.

The victim was transported to the hospital for injuries that were not life threatening, police said.

The case has been assigned to the San Francisco Police Department’s gang task force unit as a gang-related incident, cops said.
