Man found stabbed to death in apartment

A man was found stabbed to death in his Lower Haight apartment, a crime that might have occurred over the weekend, police said

The 35-year-old victim, a white male, had multiple stab wounds to the front and back of his body, police Officer Samson Chan said. A knife was used as the weapon in The City’s 29th homicide of the year.

Around 1 p.m. Monday, a friend went to the victim’s apartment on Hermann Street between Buchanan and Webster streets and found the man dead, police said.

Chan said no suspects were in custody and there was not a description of a suspect.

According to the Medical Examiner’s Office, the victim had not been identified as of late Monday night.
