Man forces way into partially blind woman’s Lower Pac Heights apartment

A partially blind elderly woman was the victim of a home invasion robbery in Lower Pacific Heights on Sunday, police said.

The victim was walking toward her front door in the 1900 block of Bush Street about 1:25 p.m. when an unknown suspect came up behind her and forced her into the apartment, police said.

The suspect went through her purse and took some belongings, police said. He then dragged her into another room and asked her where her money was.

The suspect reportedly did not take anything else from the victim's apartment and fled the scene on foot.

The victim reported that her Social Security card and ID were taken. She was not injured during the incident but was hospitalized because of her age, police said.
