Police are hunting the gunman who killed a 24-year-old man near the City College of San Francisco Saturday morning, police said.
The victim, identified Monday as 23-year-old Karl Henderson, was shot multiple times in the torso at Holloway and Brighton avenues around 11:20 a.m.
He died about 40 minutes later at San Francisco General Hospital, police said Monday.
The victim was walking home when he was shot. The gunman faced Henderson when he opened fire, then fled the scene eastbound toward Ocean Avenue. It was unclear whether the suspect and victim knew each other, Esparza said.
The suspect was described as a black man between 18 and 23, standing 5-9 to 6-2 tall and wearing all dark clothing, Esparza said. Police are searching for witnesses.
