A 26-year-old man was found shot to death in the driver’s seat of a car near the Potrero Hill Recreation Center Saturday evening, the second homicide of the weekend.

The man, whose identification is being withheld while the medical examiner notifies his next of kin, was found in the unit block of Dakota Street at 23rd Street around 7:40 p.m., police spokesman Sgt. Mike Andraychak said.

He appeared to be the “intended target,” Andraychak said.

It was two hours after a shooting just a couple of blocks away at 25th and Connecticut, but they are probably unrelated, Andraychak said. A man in his 50s was shot and is expected to survive.

Meanwhile, early Saturday morning, 24-year-old Aldo Troncoso was fatally shot in the Mission district
The shooting was reported about 2:25 a.m. near the intersection of 17th and Mission streets.

Troncoso, of San Francisco, was taken to a hospital, where he died about 4 a.m., police said.

Police did not have any suspect information for either of the homicides except that after the shooting of Troncoso on Saturday, a black SUV was seen leaving the scene of the crime.
