Man critically injured in Visitacion Valley shooting, one of three during weekend 

A man was critically injured in a shooting in Visitacion Valley on Saturday, police said.  

The 40-year-old victim was speaking with another person at Sunnydale Avenue and Hahn Street around 9:30 a.m. when gunshots were heard and the victim was seen lying on the ground, police said. He sustained multiple gunshot wounds.

The victim was transported to the hospital with life threatening injuries, police said. His condition as of Monday afternoon remains unknown. There is no known suspect information at this time.

The shooting was one of three in San Francisco this past weekend.

On Friday, a 28-year-old man was shot in Hayes Valley, police said. The victim was in the 500 block of Grove Street around 10:25 p.m. when an unknown vehicle drove by and unleashed a hail of bullets.

The suspect, a man in his 20s, fled in an unknown direction, police said. The victim was taken to San Francisco General Hospital for his injuries, which were not life threatening.

Saturday night, an 18-year-old girl was shot in the Western Addition, police said. The girl was in the 1300 block of Eddy Street around 8:55 p.m. standing with a group of friends when an 18-year-old boy started shooting.

The victim ran for cover but the shooter followed and shot her at close range, police said. The suspect then fled on foot. The victim was taken to the hospital for her injuries, which are reportedly not life threatening.
