Man critically injured in stabbing in San Francisco, suspect in custody 

A 40-year-old man is fighting for his life at a San Francisco hospital after being stabbed in the chest and back Monday night, and the man accused in the vicious attack is in custody, police said Tuesday.

An argument led to the stabbing in the 600 block of Monterey Boulevard, just blocks from the Sunnyside Recreation Center, at around 11:30 p.m.

The 37-year-old suspect, who has yet to be identified, stabbed the victim multiple times, police said.

The injured man was transported to San Francisco General Hospital in critical condition.
